Heidi von Heilsbronn is a beautiful 3 year old Shepherd mix. They really don’t get much cuter than this lass.  Everyone is gushing about this brown-eyed girl not only because she is a delight , but also because she is the biggest sweetheart.  Heidi can come off as a bit shy.  She likes to get a sense of things and people first, and is quite respectful.  However, with some gentle encouragement and soft cuddles, her smile widens and her tail starts thumping.  Then the “silly girl” everyone talks about comes out.  When outside, Heidi starts wiggling around you and rolling around in grassy patches.   At home, she will come up to you seeking ear rubs and shoulder scratches.  Heidi is great around other dogs, especially mellow, friendly types.   Those pups with too much energy will cause her to back away but, with the right playmate, she will soon start bouncing around.  Heidi appears to be housebroken and has already wormed her way into the hearts of many of the kennel staff and volunteers.  They hope that she goes to a home that is loving, patient and confidence-building.  Heidi would like those things too – and she told us to also find her a home that will indulge her in her favorite thing, splashing around.  Pool or beach, she loves water.  If these are things that sound like fun to you too, Heidi is ready to be yours.
